Well, they're playing Coachella, that's in California, think it was the first one the reformed Pixies played at and also the festival that offered the Rage Against the Machine,Smiths five million dollars. Does that lineup bode well for UK festivals? Maybe, and maybe we'll pop along to one this year. Now I am out of London and away from the music industry it'll be good to catch up.
Coachella also has (amongst others) Bjork, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Rage Against the Machine (all of whom I saw in my first festival year, plusInterpol, Arctic Monkeys, Jarvis Cocker, Sonic Youth, Faithless, DJ Shadow, Arcade Fire, the Good, the Bad and the Queen, Travis, Kings of Leon, The Rapture, Happy Mondays, Willie Nelson, Crowded House, Placebo, Kaiser Chiefs, Damien Rice, Lily Allen, José González, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, The Kooks, Mika and stacks and stacks more...

When do they go on sale? I MUST GO!
I heard a crazy rumour Pixies tickets would be on sale this morning, suddenly remembered and was terrified I'd have missed them...

In April, The Pixies will kick off an 11-city "warm up" tour of North America, marking the first time they've toured together since 1992's massive "ZOO TV" in support of U2. This string of dates will culminate on May 1 when the band co-headlines (with Radiohead and Kraftwerk) the first night of this year's Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival to be held at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, CA. The band will then embark on a European tour starting May 28 and ending July 10.
Word on popbitch.com is that they'll definitely be supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers, though all tickets for that are sold out already... also it's strongly rumoured they're playign Brixton Academy. Here's hoping that they play Glastonbury too...
That gives me an idea... Oh, sorry divis were late again this week.
