'Hope value' spurs Kent commuter housing market

THE prospect of fast train links into London is fuelling interest in the East Kent housing market.

A new review of the country’s property hotspots has identified what analysts call the “hope value” attached to the high-speed rail link, which will dramatically reduce commuting times to the capital.

“It is still three years away but people are buying in Hythe, Folkestone and Canterbury in hope,” said Cluttons in Canterbury.

The estate agent said the best properties went up around 10 per cent in 2006.

The review, published in the Sunday Telegraph, said the Medway Towns “are hauling themselves out of neglect with billion pound regeneration schemes”.

OK Commuter

Bah, not a very OK Commuter this morning, tired as you like... went for drinks at The Porterhouse in Covent Garden last night, and even though we left about 8.30 it still means a later night than we'd like, so feeling tired today. AND the train was ten minutes late. At least it's Friday... out on the large tomorrow, calling into The Happy Frenchman at some point. Oh and got a suit fitting in Canterbury too.

A quarter of commuters have found love in the tube

according to a poll by London Underground. And who's printing this shite? Yes, Metro. What should the sharpest response be? The other 75% can never find love becuase they've gnawed off their genitals in sheer frustration at the poor service? Stuck at Liverpool Street this morning for ages with no explanations, but STILL, it's a nice day out, sort of hazy but bright at the same time.

I dug up appearances of Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath and Cream yesterday, a poptastic historical biography is looming...

No wait, I've got a better one "25% of commuters could recreate the works of Shakespeare while waiting for the next tube to arrive, finding love is no problem". Right kids?
