No, it's not the name of a band, this is a message to let you know that Feeder have released possibly the world's first carbon neutral album... there's also sort of crap spat into the atmosphere when an albums made - not just the music, arf - so to counter this the band are going to, uh, counter this.
What they've done is measured the amount of CO2 - the main ‘greenhouse gas’ that causes global warming - produced by the production and distribution of the new album (Comfort in Sound) and are offsetting this by planting enough indigenous trees that will, over their lifetime, absorb the CO2, thus making the album Carbon Neutral.
You too can get involved today, by planting trees in Feeder's fan forest - Beehive Farm, Derbyshire. The site sits on the edge of three secluded lakes in South Derbyshire. Diverse native planting on this site will include Ash and Oak, amongst other indigenous trees, with the aim of creating a community woodland that will help to teach visitors about the local flora and fauna.
To commemorate your joining the band’s campaign, they will send you a personal colour certificate and map showing you where the tree has been planted.
