Feltonfleet moved to Cobham, Surrey after moving from Folkestone and pupils were evacuated during the war to Perrott Hill in Crewkerne, Somerset. After the war, the school moved back to the existing site in Surrey and is very much thriving now as a co-educational prep school for pupils between the ages of 3 and 13. The School has an active Former Pupils Association and if you would like further details, do please email the school office@feltonfleet.co.uk and they can forward your details to Peter Colbourne-Baber who heads the FPA and as a former pupil himself has also done a great deal of research into the history of the school, which recently celebrated its centenary. The school website www.feltonfleet.co.uk provides lots of information about the school and we welcome visits from former pupils.

Lawks, that frightened me a bit, today I have been WORKING! Not real work, tapping on a keyboard, but monkeying about decorating Dean's front room. We worked all day on it, and to be honest it's looking slightly worse than when we started, so I think I'd better go back tomorrow to help put it straight. I'm spattered with paint from doing the ceiling, and from certain angles these white flecks on my hair look a bit like strands of grey. Can you imagine!
Had a request on FG, so did a little bit of online research and found some quite interesting local history here, I might do more of that, it's good to know what local places used to be.
Reading: Child's Play
Listening to: Kenickie
Eating: Penne arrabiata
Regretting: Being so weak that a bit of painting is making me ache

Does anyone know anything about the Princes Hotel, Radnor (Executive) Club, Folkestone Trained Nurses' Institute, Athelstan School, Feltonfleet School and does anyone have any pictures/correspondence links to where I can lay my hands on historical stuff on either/both of them?
