- The Pretty Things in FolkestoneSome pictures I've just been sent, of The Pretty Things when they played at Micks' Flamenco Bar (now better known as Pipers) in 1967: That last photo was taken outside George Robey's the tobacconist a couple of doors down from the club. [leave a comment]- Keep smoking JustinStill no confirmation as to whether tonight's Darkness gig is still on or not (after Liverpool, Folkestone and Portsmouth were all postponed), but I could do with it being put off for a bit... Saw AC/DC last night, also at Hammersmith Odeon Apollo, and I'm not sure there's enough room in one week for that much ROCK. Rumours about the venue now being a higher capacity than Brixton Academy are very hard to believe, it certainly feels smaller. The sloping of the floor is the same, if not steeper, -
- AC/DC 1976I saw AC/DC in 1976 and AC/DC didnt play. I travelled down from Gravesend. I believe that the gig was cancelled by the council who didnt agree with Angus dropping his shorts!!! The replacement act was The Real Thing (and they weren't) - Rob
