- 1967 Cream @ Mick's Flamenco Club (Sat 18 Feb 1967)
Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, in Folkestone, wow...
[leave a comment]- Cream 1967I saw the Cream round about that time in a small club upstairs down Tontine street? Did Tofts move at any time cos I saw the Pretty Things there as well (also about that time?) Les. - frisby1947
- Cream 1967Cream never played Tofts they indeed played Micks Flamenco club situated in Tontine Street. The place is now a club called Pipers and is still trading as such today. - djshax
- So people say Cream never played at Toft's...What's this all about then? Thanks to Simon Brint for this ticket scan... People say it wasn't Tofts, it was Mick's Flamenco Club (more recently Pipers), so did Toft's move more than once? Or did Tofts move the gig? Or did they promote the gig at another club? Anyone got details? Lots more opinion here. -

[leave a comment] - 1993 Radiohead @ The Joiners (Thu 18 Feb 1993)
I was not at this Radiohead gig, it's not meant to be showing up in my gigography...
[leave a comment]- Expose ClubRadiohead did play the Penny Theatre in Jan 1993, I promoted it, it was the last ever Exposé night. It was their first ever sell out gig outside of London or Oxford and was rammed to the rafters (we had over 300 people in there). They covered Rhinestone Cowboy as an encore, which I believe they used to do early on but hadn’t done for years (and as far as I am aware) haven’t done since. I have a tape of the gig recorded from the mixing desk. Bands who also played the Penny included The Cranberr - Roger
