- 1993 Radiohead @ The Penny Theatre (Tue 26 Jan 1993)
Conflicting reports, may have been the 6th of Jan... Part of the "Anyone Can Play Guitar" tour
[leave a comment]- Expose ClubLooking for details of the Expose Club, Canterbury... Radiohead played there, if the many Radiohead gigography sites are to be trusted, but I suspect that one mistake in any of them would have been copied across the whole lot... - Expose Club = Penny TheatreFrom today's discussion on mrgig.com: PuddingMushroom says "I think they played the Penny Theatre", Mikos says "they definitely played the Penny", and then we're diverted into other bands that played (The Cranberries and Reef (twice) Ash, Skunk Anansie, Soundgarden, Therapy? and Babylon Zoo) before Oozye contributes: "yeah it true i played at penny theatre the week after RADIOHEAD" so that's good enough for me... UPDATE: And a final official confirmation here. Cheers! -

- The Stranglers @ Leas Cliff HallThe Stranglers played Leas Cliff Hall this day in 1993. Another not quite so fascinating slice of Folkestone Rock History... Transferring all this rock history lark to folkestonegerald.com/ and folkestonegerald.com/1972/ and so on... -

[leave a comment] - 2008 Mighty Boosh Festival @ The Hop Farm (Sat 5 Jul 2008)
Bit of a weak lineup actually :-( The day before Neil Young, could be a mighty weekend. Check ebay...
[leave a comment]- Neil Young and The Mighty BooshIt's all kicking off at the Hop Farm this year isn't it? Neil Young is there on the 6th, and according to the NME, there's a Mighty Boosh festival the same weekend. No tickets on sale for that yet I don't think, so could all be a lie, keep an eye on ebay maybe for Booshstock (Glastonboosh?), but get Neil Young tickets here... -
