- Folkestone Festival is looking good!Bit of a retro lineup among the headliners of Folkestone Festival but that's exactly what's needed to get the thirty somethings buying tickets I think. Looking forward to this. Artists so far include Feeder, Ash, Gary Numan, Hundred Reasons, Kids In Glass Houses, Attack! Attack!, Sonic Boom Six & In Case Of Fire. - Training day yesterdayBit busy to blog these days unfortunately :-( Was in training at Port Lympne yesterday, not training how to be a zookeeper or anything, it's just where we held a training day. Nice, rubbish lunch for me though, basically lettuce sandwiches. Did have margarine of some sort in it, I can only assume it was vegan as they knew (and was why I got lettuce when everyone else got chicken drumsticks, spring rolls, potato wedges etc). Was tempted to nip round the animal cages see what their food was like. -
- Pay day!You might still get advanced tickets from the Leas Cliff Hall, otherwise there will be a ticket office on site, so pay on the door. If you're lucky enough to work for Holiday Extras there's a very special deal available from the social club too. Here's the run down, who's playing: The mighty Feeder will be headlining the main stage at this year's Hevy Music Festival, topping an awesome line-up also featuring Ash, Gary Numan, Hundred Reasons, The Blackout (replacing Kids In Glass Houses), Attac -

Maybe they'll be serenading outside his window later, it all kicks out by 11pm. Maybe I'll be there serenading him after a few drinks! Maybe not though. - Hevy a (damp) success! So the first annual Hevy festival came to pass, and I think it was a success! Concerns about the weather and choice of booze inside the arena stopped us heading in too early, so stopped for a couple of drinks on the way. Chambers very quiet as expected, but The View was very busy - some sort of fringe music event going on there. Very pleasant in The View with the front windows opened right up, will have to give that place another chance. Festival not heaving when we got in, but a fair crowd. W - fg
- Hevy fest: GOODWent to that festival in Folkestone on Saturday, official review here. Good as a freebie, would have been a lot better if the weather had played fair. NICE to be at a festival watching a band in the rain (stay with me) and then to be walking back to the flat after and not squishing around looking for a tent. You may have seen my semi-drunken twitterings from the event itself, thought I was definitely not squiffy at all but maybe that pear cider is more potent than it first appears... Tried to -

Don't need tickets in advance, just turn up (but turn up early)
[leave a comment]- Out of work already, a prematurely happy new year to you allOff to Chambers tonight, though I'm way tired for some reason so I could do with staying in. My legs are aching like I've done some exercise, which I definitely have not. Before Chambers we're going to a friend's house for a drink.
