We have Clarkes in Cosham at that time

But it's a common name, so can't find a connection at the moment... my great great grandfather James Cole Clarke was born in 1824 in Cosham, and his second youngest son was a Harry Clarke, but born in 1856 and married to Jane Emma Hall. We have quite a lot of documentation around them so don't think it's the one.

My great great great grandfather James Clarke was born in the same area and may have had more children, we think it unlikely that he only had the three. If you find out any more details please post them here. Likewise the details of Abraham Clarke and so on, if you could post them here or email them to pauly@clarkeology.com I would appreciate it in case we can find any connection...
