M'lady's boudoir to close

The designer ladies outfitters on the Old High Street is to close, or at least to move somewhere other than Folkestone Old High Street, one of the shop owners blogs here...

I don't often pass up or down the Old High Street, but when I did a couple of weeks ago I noticed another shop I'd recommended here (which I forget the name of now) has closed, it seems to have been reposessed by the Creative Foundation. It is a bit early for all these businesses really, good on them for being early adopters, Folkestone will get there in the end.

This is my site The FG that I built in a fury of excitement when I first moved here sometime in 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get nowadays. The site was a lot more dynamic with a gig calendar and voting for favourite venues and stuff, and I know it was a handy reference for those who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as Folkestone itself is becoming the exciting place we knew it was just about to. My name is not Gerald BTW, this comes from a fake paper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE aren't they? Do contact me if you have anything to offer, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on Twitter.
