I've just found that a Stafford ancestor of mine, Francis (Brookes) Till, died in 1865 at the Hospital of the 52nd Regiment of Light Infantry in Portsmouth. I see from your site that you have an Alice Till being born in Portsmouth at that time. It's a long shot but is there any chance that Francis was her father?
Cheers,
Mark

I have Alice Mary Till's father down as Richard Francis Till, Francis is a bit of a coincidence isn't it? What more info do you have? I hope you left an email address, I'll be in touch.
Alice Till is my great grandfather's first wife, so her father is actually not related to me, my great grandmother was Fanny Alice Samways, James Cole Clarke's second wife.

Over to you, discussion about anything local, but please be considerate... Folkestone on TV, Kent gigs, Find a flatmate, rent a room, property queries, current news, what's new, local events, for sale, local services, what I like about Folkestone, ask questions, offer advice, plug yourself... the more it's used the more useful a resource it will become. If you want a gig listed click here to add it (fixed now!), or just click here to post a message...
