Some old photos of Folkestone

I bought an album of photos not so long ago and these photos of Wear Bay Road and Folkestone were included in it. I thought you might like to see them and possibly pass on the the ones of Wear Bay Road to any residents of houses featured. I don't know who was living there at the time. Anything you could tell me about the photos would be appreciated. Yours sincerely David Wichbold

This is part of my website The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when I first moved here sometime in 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while previous to that so I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. The site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar and voting for favourite venues and stuff, and I hear it was a useful reference for those who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just to Hythe) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is becoming the exciting place we always thought it was about to become. My name is not Gerald BTW, this comes from a pretend paper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local paper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE aren't they? Do get in touch if you have anything to contribute, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
