Nice pub shame about the welcome!!

It saddens me to think in these days of hard times for pubs that certain pubs dont make an effort to be more user friendly. It is the second time I have been to this pub and have walked through the door be not greeted with a hello or welcome, but rather we close at 10 oclock on a Tuesday due to lack of business! May I suggest that its due to your attitude and I know that myself and my five friends will not be coming back to this pub so Tuesdays will be quieter than ever now! They say the County Members is a nice pub so best we use that in future....

This is part of my website The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when I first came to Folkestone in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while before that but I am technically one of those DFLs you get nowadays. The site was a lot more dynamic with a gig calendar and voting for best venues and stuff, and I know it was a useful reference for those who were thinking of moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only to Hythe) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we always thought it was about to become. I am not Gerald by the way, this comes from a pretend newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are great aren't they? Do get in touch if you have anything to contribute, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
