Possibly going to be on BBC local news today

#wacky #facebook #craze I'm too old for this

BBC South East are here filming the office, and they trailed it on the breakfast news today. It's about some facebook "craze" called the lying down game. People at work laid down. And the BBC turned up to film it.

'Parkour...for those who cant be arsed'

A group for all those who enjoy the sport of lying down in random public places to confuse people... There are two aims:

1) The more public the better

2) The more people invlolved the better.

Please be aware that the palms of your hands must be flat against your side and the tips of your toes pointing at the ground. Just as if you were standing, but vertically challenged.

Parkour (aka free running) seems to be a fair equivalent - as with all modern "crazes" just doing something is not enough, you can only do it if someone is filming it for the internet. I've seen people in Folkestone doing this, but NEVER when they weren't being filmed. In the past someone's hobby might have been reading, riding a bike or smashing eggs, now those equivalent hobbies are being photographed or videoed with a book, bike or smashed eggs and uploading that video to the web. I don't think it (free running, not lying down obviously) is a real sport or exercise at all. If you don't do it unless there's a camera present, then it's just showing off.

Over to you, discussion about anything local, but please be considerate... Folkestone on TV, Kent gigs, Find a flatmate, rent a room, property queries, current news, what's new, local events, for sale, local services, what I like about Folkestone, ask questions, offer advice, plug yourself... the more it's used the more useful a resource it will become. If you want a gig listed click here to add it (fixed now!), or just click here to post a message...
