good film!

A great film, the best time travel comedy since the last time travel comedy, saw it on Saturday night and enjoyed it very much. You probably need to love the 1980s and time travel, specifically time travel comedy to get as much out of it as I did. Good soundtrack, Motley Crue, Poison, Public Enemy and, um Black Eyed Peas and not all the same '80s jokes and references as when americans usually do in '80s flashbacks, no Flock of Seagulls reference that I noticed. A massive massive nod to Back To The Future, including featuring George McFly. Bizarrely he looks younger now than he did in 1955, but that is time travel for you. Slight less consistency than most time travel films, they travel back in time but into their own bodies as they were in 1986, except for the one who wasn't born yet who is allowed to stay as himself.

Another strange effect of time, in the daddy of the genre 1985 is the the present, bang up to date, but in this film 1986 is far flung hilarious retro history, how did that happen? When did the 1980s cease to be modern?

Time for work, see what volcano related delights await us today...

Over to you, discussion about anything local, but please be considerate... Folkestone on TV, Kent gigs, Find a flatmate, rent a room, property queries, current news, what's new, local events, for sale, local services, what I like about Folkestone, ask questions, offer advice, plug yourself... the more it's used the more useful a resource it will become.
