XPLMonkey says you can use RFXCom to automat them...
@hpoom tipped me off about Home Easy who make easy to fit RF light switches and sockets, sounds nice and simple and convenient, but does not support central control for full home automation. So an intermediate solution until you full commit to rewiring. But then I found XPL Monkey who have some info and advice on how you can use RFXCom components to automate the HomeEasy kit. Not everything is compatible, but it looks like some of their stuff can be computer controlled. Not sure what can and what cana't at the moment, looks a strange mix but more to read here...

Over to you, discussion about anything local, but please be considerate... Folkestone on TV, Kent gigs, Find a flatmate, rent a room, property queries, current news, what's new, local events, for sale, local services, what I like about Folkestone, ask questions, offer advice, plug yourself... the more it's used the more useful a resource it will become. If you want a gig listed click here to add it (fixed now!), or just click here to post a message...
