Did an hour or so while Harry slept, but it's not going on as well as it did before. There are greasy patches, spatters of oil from the cooker, staining the wall in places, and I can't paint over them. What to do about that?
Hope when the paint dries it looks better. I think it did last time.
Harry is up and lunched, now to clean up and make the tea. A househusband's work is never done! Have not had time to electrocute myself yet.

Have rubbed down and painted again, and again, and I seem to be getting there.
Mostly it is that the first coat of white on grey looks really really patchy until it dries. When the second coat is on and dry all is good. There will still be some spots of grease showing through. I might get some tippex.
