Still feeling like crap here so have not gone to work again. Better than yesterday as I slept a lot better last night, so will be back up to speed tomorrow. So spending the day sitting, just sitting. This gives me time to think about the serious stuff:
☠ Why does my new TV have "unknown" as the artist when playing music off the NAS? All the tracks are tagged up correctly, and it gets the album and track titles OK, just not the artist.
☠ How can I detect a key press on the remote on the new TV using javascript? I could be sat here in bed learning my new quiz with far less button clicks if I could figure that out. It does not trigger a click, key up, key down or key press event. The only info I can find on the new TV and how it does things is in Japanese. This is what comes from living in the future.
☠ How can I run an HDMI and aerial cable from my sky plus box up to the TV in the bedroom with the minimum of fuss? It's quite a new house, allt he walls are hollow but I have no idea how to really do this without taking the walls down. I think I need to go right up in to the loft and then back down again really. Do I have to get a man in? Or can I do it all with a video sender? That would be preferable but it only works with certain kinds of sky plus box...
