We went to some new pubs #3 The Black Robin

Final stop on our trying some new pubs adventure, the even further afield Black Robin. Their address is Kingston, I only know it from passing on the number 17 bus and being curious about it so it was nice to stop in. A very friendly crowd in this one, we had a couple of drinks and watched The Olympics with them. I say crowd, leaving aside the punters finishing their meals in the dining half there were eight of us in the bar, including landlord and landlady, the chef, and the barman, and us. I had Hobgoblin, Clare had a cup of tea.

A very enjoyable evening, a treat to try out three new pubs and them all be good.

This is my website The Folkestone Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when we first came to Folkestone in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a few years previous to that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get now. The site was updated more frequently with a gig calendar and voting for best venues and stuff, and I know it was a handy reference for others who were moving here. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was about to become. My name is not Gerald BTW, this comes from a pretend newspaper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE aren't they? Do contact me if you have something to contribute, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
