So close to a free iMac

Aug182004

I have this free computer in my grasp now, it powers up and seems to work OK, but it wants a password, without which I can't even eject the CD drive, so I've no idea how to reformat it... any ideas? Any Mac types out there?

Work is getting a bit stressful, hope this move goes smoothly.

Had my last lunch in Sesame today, very sad.

I think you have to hit it before the anoyingly smug little grey mac

wot you need is

when you say its got a password, is it a boot time password or does it boot then ask you for a password.

Boots then asks for a password

Got the install CD's but can't make it boot off the CD. The system admin who set it up might have disabled this somehow. I can get the password for it but not until next week when everything's unpacked again from the move...

Over to you, discussion about anything local, but please be considerate... Folkestone on TV, Kent gigs, Find a flatmate, rent a room, property queries, current news, what's new, local events, for sale, local services, what I like about Folkestone, ask questions, offer advice, plug yourself... the more it's used the more useful a resource it will become. If you want a gig listed click here to add it (fixed now!), or just click here to post a message...
