have u listened to the latest engadget podcast?

i havent been listening to it that long, but every week it seems to become more of an ad hoc manifesto about life+technology...it doesnt really represent the latest stories on the website. nonetheless, it's quite interesting, particularly their views on the use of blogs as a medium for firms to advertise their goods/services and the future of advertising.

Yeah, there's a lot more activism in there

Quite a lot about boycotting Wal-Mart and the like, and it has less relevance to us here in the UK... Still that's good, it is different to the site, but then if he was just reading the storiess from the site, it wouldn't really be worth listening to... you can get all the back issues easily...

i think

it's interesting to see where this podcasting is going...when i started to get into it the other day i was overwhelmed by ostensible mediocrity, and like adam curry has been saying, it seems it's time for some wheat and chaff separation! i would like to see better categorisation of topics. i also agree with muddy that you should be doing your own podcast...podcasting seems to have a US bent at the mo, and it would be good to see some UK action - i particularly think something of relevant to the VILLAGE would attract a lot of listeners.

Over to you, discussion about anything local, but please be considerate... Folkestone on TV, Kent gigs, Find a flatmate, rent a room, property queries, current news, what's new, local events, for sale, local services, what I like about Folkestone, ask questions, offer advice, plug yourself... the more it's used the more useful a resource it will become. If you want a gig listed click here to add it (fixed now!), or just click here to post a message...
