Reporting in...

Apr252005

NICE weekend again, a quiet Friday night in front of the telly for a start. Going to bed early in the week, it feels a bit like we should go wild and crazy out somewhere, but it's nice to get in at the end of the week and relax knowing we don't have to be up early in the morning. EXCEPT, this weekend we did, heading off to Canterbury for a proper suit fitting. That's all done now, deposit paid, measurements taken, this wedding is well under way now.

Didn't have a lunch in Canterbury, though I did have a nice walk round, there seem to be so many good pubs there. What a day for me to be driving, so couldn't go in any of them.

Saturday night went to The Happy Frenchman, there was a band doing mostly rock covers, terrible sound and generally Not Good, so we bailed, and headed to The Clifton instead. Must have had a few drinks we stayed in there until nearly midnight. Yesterday we went for a nice walk, along the sea front and that.

Good to hear (though I didn't watch it) that Portsmouth DRUBBED Southampton, and also that Norwich somehow beat Charlton - Charlton can spare the points, and this really means that Southampton are going down doesn't it? Off to premierleague.com to find out more...

No probs commuting in today, train about ten minutes late, but at least I had a bit of a snooze...

Just a local rivalry thing

Not a lot of rational behind it. For a long time Portsmouth felt like the poor relations, now at the end of the day the boot's on the other foot Brian. ALSO it'll teach that judas Harry Redknapp...

Over to you, discussion about anything local, but please be considerate... Folkestone on TV, Kent gigs, Find a flatmate, rent a room, property queries, current news, what's new, local events, for sale, local services, what I like about Folkestone, ask questions, offer advice, plug yourself... the more it's used the more useful a resource it will become. If you want a gig listed click here to add it (fixed now!), or just click here to post a message...
