Ears are still ringing from AC/DC last night, but have still found time for popex admin (catching up from my day off yesterday. Also importing lots of content from the existing Barfly / Fly systems into the new system, and fixing up the old server, it was out of disk space... ALSO, some general computer support, in the absence of the two, and exporting The Fly gig guide from Excel, through some PERL into a Quark friendly format... took a while to track this code down, but it's interesting stuff, will be doing more of this to try and speed up processing of the listings for the magazines...
Am I ready for The Darkness tonight? Not really, but according to a mate who spoke to Dan Darkness last night, it's definitely on.

Yes Channelfly has two magazines now, The Fly and the new Order Magazine. No, not a New Order magazine, just a new magazine, called Order. It contains listings only for our venues, but has some editorial to accompany all the listings.
Doesn't have a website, I don't suppose it will either.

The Fly magazine started out as the listings magazine for the Barfly, with added editorial, and now it's the second biggest music mag in the country (in terms of audited circulation, not physical space - it'sA5).

Over to you, discussion about anything local, but please be considerate... Folkestone on TV, Kent gigs, Find a flatmate, rent a room, property queries, current news, what's new, local events, for sale, local services, what I like about Folkestone, ask questions, offer advice, plug yourself... the more it's used the more useful a resource it will become.
