The Carling Homecoming presents the mighty Darkness who are set to play a spectacular show at The Astoria, London in November, and you could be there!
On 5th April, 2003 The Darkness were booked to play at LA2, but tickets were in such demand they had to move upstairs to The Astoria. They became the first band to sell out this venue without a record deal. It was this gig that created their reputation as true rock gods. On 11th November Carling will be bringing the band back to the venue.
The Darkness have become a truly British phenomenon since bursting onto the music scene this year: they’ve had a huge hit with their debut single, I Believe in a Thing Called Love and their album, Permission to Land, went to Number One and has sold over 750,000 copies. This Carling Homecoming gig will be the last chance to see The Darkness this year as they embark on their sold out tour of the UK!
This gig will be completely free and tickets can only be won through carlinglive.com. However, The Fly & Popex have teamed up with carlinglive.com to offer one lucky winner and a friend the chance to go by entering our competition to win a pair of tickets.
This is the sixth show in the Carling Homecoming series which has seen massive acts such as Manic Street Preachers, Primal Scream, Charlatans and Jamiroquai returning to intimate venues that have played an important part in the history of these bands.
