I went past "Luxor Casino Bingo" near Tontine Street at the weekend, is it just bingo, or is it really a casino? Doesn't seem likely.
Personally I wouldn't be too worried about a casino being in the area, is there any reason to be?
Guessing the casino in the story above is not part of Roger DeHaan's masterplan, it'll be part of Jimmy Godden's Benidormesque hotel complex.
This is my site The FG that I built in a fury of excitement when we first moved to Folkestone in approximately 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a while before that but I am technically one of those DFLs you get now. The site was a lot more dynamic with a calendar of events and voting for favourite venues and things, and I know it was a handy reference for others who were thinking of moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though only a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is becoming the exciting place we knew it was just about to. My name is not Gerald BTW, this comes from the name of a pretend newspaper in an episode of The Day Today or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald.
