Fun night out

I can only just face up to writing down my fun night out on Monday, where I went for popbitch drinks, at The Coach and Horses, Soho. Well, one of them. All was going swimmingly, drinks kept turning up at the table for me, and I kept drinking them. I stayed a bit longer than I intended, and didn't make it away from under the weight of free booze in time for the gig I was also going to check out at the Borderline, but all should have been fine. Then, disaster, I just missed the 10pm from Charing Cross! Then, even more of a disaster, I got on a train going to the wrong part of Kent, trying to recover my missed train. Then, further disaster, I got on another wrong train trying to fix this mistake up, then a bus, then at least one taxi, until it was far too late to get home. I couldn't get into a hotel, so ended up sleeping on the platform at a suburban train station. Bah.

Very tired and cold the next day, even when I eventually got home I had to trek back into London again for a meeting.

All recovered now!
