This site used to ask you to log in, and set cookies on your local machine so as to identify you when you return, but it doesn't do that now.
I don't have google analytics on this site any more either so you're not being tracked just so I can vanity check my page views. I may still use third party advertising like Google adsense and they may set cookies, look out for that.
As a result of me removing logins and identifying info, you can't leave messages here any more. Boo hoo. I may bring this back if I can find a way. Email me instead.
I recomment pi-hole for blocking advertising on your local network.
This is my site The 'Gerald that I built in a fury of excitement when I first came to Folkestone sometime in 2004. I'd been a frequent visitor for a few years previous to that but I am technically one of those Down From Londons you get now. The site was a lot more dynamic with a calendar of events and voting for favourite venues and things, and I hear it was a useful reference for those who were thinking of moving to the area. Now I've moved out of Folkestone again (though just a couple of miles) it doesn't get as much attention as it used to. Ironic really as The town is now becoming the exciting place we knew it was just about to. My name is not Gerald by the way, this comes from a pretend newspaper in an episode of Brasseye or something, the Portsmouth Gerald, and how there is a local newspaper here called the Folkestone Herald. Puns like this are GRATE aren't they? Do get in touch if you have something to contribute, email anythign @ this domain, or try @folkestone or @pauly on the twitter.
