Just in from work too late, this Habitat Radius tallboy that I was after just went, for 360 quid, and it was in Kent, bah. As always, I should have put in a higher bid to start with, but not being around at the end of the auction I'm sure I would have missed out.
Had a couple of days out ill this week, too ill even for computering, a strange flu like virus that absolutely knocked me over. Better now, but still aching. The most annoying bit of this was missing last night's Megadeth gig. How often are a band who were one of my absolute favourites (er, a few years ago) going to come to Folkestone? I paid cash money for the tickets too, and had no time to offload them. Clare was secretly pleased I think. UPDATE: NOT glad I was ill, but glad not to have to go to the gig, of course... She was worried that I was ill and would rather have gone through a couple of hours of twiddling metal than see me sick.
Got a fairly active weekend this weekend, Emma's visiting and we're off for tea at Escondido tomorrow, plus a bit of pubbing I'm sure. Tonight, will be going out somewhere, but then again there's part two of Dalziel and Pascoe on TV. I'm half way through a Reginald Hill audio book at the moment, Death's Jest Book, and it's brilliant. His books get better as the series progresses, don't know what I'm going to do when I've finished the lot, read more Rebus I reckon.
Bums, I really wanted that chest of drawers.

Bands playing free sets and doing signing, and then THE DARKNESS playing a special show!
Are you ready to ROCK? They are at Virgin Megastore, and I'm about ready to rock with them, having confirmed now that I'm off to the day of rock at the Oxford Street store tomorrow, August 5th...
Live performances and signing sessions are due from SikTH, Crackout, Funeral For A Friend and Biffy Clyro will perform live, exclusive sets from inside the famous store. Better wear the reinforced pants as Kerrange or also promising "surprise in-store events", lions and tigers and bears possibly.
The Kerrang! Day Of Rock marks the start of the countdown to the Tenth Annual Kerrang! Awards on August 21st, and announcement of nominations will be made live in the store.
The show starts at 1pm and is open to rock fans of all shapes and sizes. The store will close at 8:30pm, and be cleared prior to The Darkness who will play a special set to 500 lucky fans.
There may be still tickets to the Darkness to be won at www.thedarknessrock.com, and I hope you've placed your votes at www.kerrang.com... For the other bands, better get down there early and start queueing!

Chart upsets galore, how will it affect divis..?
So, this week Westlife outsold the Spice Girls by FOUR TO ONE in the album charts to grab a hold of that number one slot... Next weekend The Beatles "One" album (a seventy eight minute version of Metallica's magnum opus, apparently) will dominate the charts, so it's hardly worth anyone trying... BUT, as The Beatles aren't listed in popEx, the number 2 slot is ALL IMPORTANT - so who's it going to be?
It's all too exciting, I'm going to the pie shop.
