One Minute Silence, Stereophonics, Bluetones and Real Shocks...
Thanks today to One Minute Silence for the "One Lie Fits All" album, out on the 14th, The Bluetones for "Never Going Nowhere" out on the 11th of August, Real Shocks for the CD's (please leave out the photos next time though guys), and also Stereophonics for "Maybe Tomorrow" out on the 21st. Well, I say "thanks", really I mean "please don't send me any more Stereophonics stuff", unless it's something I can sell easily.
Reviews coming in a bit, I have HEADPHONES today and will be spouting forth on everything on my desk.
The Bluetones are on tour throughout August, tickets here and The Stereophonics are touring the enormo-hangars in November, though it's mostly sold out...
I think I forgot to say thankyou last week for the Louder Than The Crowd double alternative album, out 21st July, and the new new mighty handful...

Who'd have thought you could make vegan lasagne? Went for a dinner party last night, very sophisticated, round at Dom and Jen's. Dom and Dean made lasagne for the main course for everybody, with a vegan friendly roast vegetable lasagne for me, and it was brilliant. I brought some new melting pretend cheese from Canterbury Wholefoods to top it off, and it really was great. Luckily there was some left over which I had reheated today for lunch.
The rest of the evening was lovely too, even me spouting off my half believed opinions about the music everyone else likes. I had my first guitar lesson on my new guitar - I played an E chord, it made my fingers really hurt, so I stopped. The guitar is brilliant too, though I really must apologise to all the guitar players out there for having a nice guitar with no justification whatsoever.
Rest of the day was no great shakes, we went to Canterbury and it rained all day. Lunch was at Canterbury Wholefoods and was OK; we were deliberately not eating much so as to be hungry for the dinner party later.
Today we walked through the Golden Valley to Tesco to do our shopping, for a bit of a change. Did a bit more work tidying up my map too, nice to have got that back into shape, please check it out and feed back. Got Come Dine With Me, Lost, House and Midsomer Murders to see us through the evening.

Bumped into independent right wing game show winning candidate Rodney Hylton-Potts on Saturday night, or rather he started SPOUTING in the restaurant we were in. First clue something was going on were shouts of "castrate paedophiles" - hard to argue with, but not what you expect when you're having dinner. Next he came over to us, offering to legalise cannabis, but when we asked why he was standing somewhere he didn't live and about the deal he's done with the BNP (they'll not field a candidate in his area, and he'll urge his supporters in other areas to vote for them), he slowed right down. We'd had quite a lot of wine, but he definitely said we should vote for Lib Dem Peter Carrol instead and laughed about splitting the right wing vote. So, who knows WHAT'S going on. The deal with the BNP is on their website, will he not be in trouble for this? Can't figure the guy out...
The Guardian's had to print this correction, but it's not for suggesting he's a racist, but for suggesting one of the judges on Vote For Me liked him.
Quite a nice meal, despite the interruption. My food was a bit bland, but that's a vegan tradition, everyone elses was nice. Proper review on the way.
