I've got this book and it's great, a full history of all the drinking establishments in Folkestone and surrounding villages. And here's a rare copy on ebay, starting bid 99p.
Splendid weather today, think the storms have moved North, it's bright and clear and fresh today.
In other news monkeys can talk, no really this is proper news, it's not just that we've been listening to too many Ricky Gervais XFM shows with Steve Merchant and Karl Pilkington recently.

A copy here on ebay, still looking for an original though...
Been looking for an original of More Tales From The Tap Room for ages, ie Tales From The Tap Room, but no joy. I have this book but would like a first edition. Get this one here and help Pilgrims Hospice, or you buy a new copy from Folkestone library.
More Tales from the Tap Room by Martin Easdown and Eamonn Rooney. A history of the Public Houses and Breweries of Folkestone, Sandgate, Cheriton, Seabrook, Shorncliffe, Morehall and Newington. P/B 232 pages with photographs and illustrations. Published 2004.
Brilliant book btw.
