Splendid weekend, thanks for asking, starting off with what's becoming a regular routine; a quiet night in Friday night then a trip to Canterbury Saturday daytime. Had a lovely Wagamama, only slightly marred by me biting through my lip again. In the afternoon Clare went to have her hair done and I went to The Dolphin with Dean, we sat and shot the breeze in the garden there for a few hours.

Saturday night a round at and 's, in honour of 's birthday, 21 again. We seem to have polished off a few unusual drinks ( was a highlight for me), but a good time was definitely had by all

Sunday, we walked. Got our groceries out of the way in the morning, and walked along the beach and the canal path to Hythe and back, that's a round trip of at least eight miles, the most exercise I've done in a while. We did reward ourselves with a stop at The Carousel Lounge, a fairly new place in Hythe, that was nice enough. Bit lacking in character, but a good range of ales. As a reward for walking all the way back we stopped in The Ship in Sandgate on the way back, pretty much undoing all our good walking.

We did not see Dave the Dolpin from the beach at all, but plenty of ducks, a couple of kestrels of some sort, and I SWEAR I saw a kingfisher, and not just on the label of a bottle floating in the canal.

Lovely walk, and not at all suffering for it today, I could do it again RIGHT NOW if I wasn't quite so busy at work today.

Bit my lip this morning eating my breakfast in a hurry, drew blood and everything, and also the work I did at the weekend fixing my doesn't work now I've transferred it to work...

Great weekend though, did our usual lunch at Wagamama and afternoon drinks in The Dolphin, then had a reasonably quiet night in watching Children of Men and Hot Fuzz and drinking our new favouite tipple and eating goodies we'd bought in town.

Saw two weddings in Canterbury, one was having their reception in The Goods Shed, so while we were doing our shopping on the ground floor there were speeches and things going on on the mezzanine level just above us, all very public. Then there was another reception at The Dolpin, which the bride was delivered to by , very nice.

Spent most of sunday clearing 's stuff out of the inlaws loft, as they're moving soon. Threw out a whole of crap but couldn't resist bringing some of the books and keepsakes home, more than we'd intended.

Enjoying what I'm doing at work right now but this week feels like it's going to be a long one, looking forward to Dean's birthday celebrations at the weekend.

RE: Dolphins in Sandgate!

hi guess what I have seen 'Dave'the dolpin again, yesterday I actually swam out and it circled me and my friend it was about a metre away from me. It is a dream come true. Any chance for any extra information on either exactly what type of dolphin it is and are there any clubs you can join so that I could swim with them more officially
