Mostly converted to apartments, but still seemingly a hotel too. www.grand.uk.com. Aha
It operates as an "Apartment Hotel"; the apartments are self contained with their own kitchen facilities, but are serviced, and there are bars and restaurants. So one has the best of both worlds - an apartment with hotel facilities.
Excellent bar in Keppel's, can be too quiet though.

History
The Grand was built as "Gentlemen's Residential Chambers" just over 100 years ago. It was a favourite of King Edward VII and the bar is named after his lady friend, Alice Keppel... Robert Morley and Michael Caine made their stage debuts in the hotel, and Agatha Christie wrote Murder on the Orient Express here.
