I didn't know that about the wreck off Folkestone either, bit before my time... Maidstone has hugely improved just recently apparently, I'd not been before, but the wife says there are lots of new places open since she went last year, including a whole new street called Fremlin's Walk... It was still a bit chavvy in places, gangs of youths and that, but nice enough.
